2022 Chicago Academy for the Arts Student Portraits Are Now Available
As a Chicago-based photographer I use my camera to make sense of a world that is often frenetic, brash and overwhelming. In seeking out form, texture, color and the interplay of shape and form I attempt to bring a sense of balance to what I see around me.
In looking for small moments of truthfulness and strength I am most frequently drawn to people engaged in their own displays of love for their craft. I find that simple portraits convey the joy, focus and peace that are lacking the hustle of everyday life.
